Royate Hill Nature Reserve
Royate hill is a small nature reserve situated within a housing estate near Clay hill and Eastville. There is limited street parking near the entrance of the reserve on Clay Bottom road and Wainbrook drive. There is a small playground with a climbing frame in the field on the entrance to the reserve. There are also two small football goals next to the playground.
The entrance to the reserve is narrow and takes you up some stoney steps into the woodland. There is then a narrow path either left or right. Right takes you down to Clay bottom road and the Glades road. Left takes you on the bridge over the B4469 to the houses the other side on Greenbank view road. The path is not suitable for wheelchair or buggies.
The reserve is next to Royate hill allotments however there is no access to these directly from the reserve. There are no bins, benches or toilets here. The whole walk takes about 20 to 25 minutes.
