Coombe Brooke Nature Reserve
Coombe brooke nature reserve is a wonderful place to go for the afternoon. There is something for everyone with fields, a playground and a wood.
You can park in White hall rugby club car park to access the park however spaces are limited especially when there is a match on. There are several other entrances to Coombe Brooke via residential roads, you can also park along these roads. These entrances are Holly lodge road, Moorlands road and Ridgeway road.
The nature reserve itself is a wood which has several well trodden paths. It is not suitable for buggies or accessible friendly. There is a small stream which runs through the wood and is great for kids to splash around in or dogs to cool off in. The reserve is just to the right of the rugby club and playground. You can do a full loop of the woods in about 30 minutes.
The playground is at the top of the park and offers something for all ages. There are numerous climbing frames and swings and several benches. Although there is a rugby pitch in the middle of the park, there are numerous fields surrounding it which are a great space to soak up the sun or enjoy a game of frisbee. There are benches and bins dotted all around the park to ensure it is kept clean. There are however no toilets here.
