About us

Since its beginnings back in 1968, St Pauls Carnival has grown in size and reputation to become one of the UK’s most accessible and inclusive events. Carnival 365 brings the history and heritage of Carnival to communities all year round.

Our Schools Programme and community work sees the history and traditions of Carnival bring people together throughout the year.
Community Interest Company (CIC)St Pauls Carnival Community Interest Company (CIC) was formed in February 2017 to help create a stable and sustainable future for our iconic event.

Working to promote and celebrate African Caribbean culture and traditions, and to run an accessible and inclusive world-class Carnival and supporting events. As well as using Carnival to inform, engage and inspire people socially and artistically, the CIC works with local people to increase economic benefits to the community. We’re only able to do all of this due to the amazing support from our wonderful partners, sponsors and donors.

Our mission

To celebrate the life and evolving stories of Bristol’s African Caribbean communities through the creative spirit of song, art, music and movement with key focus on Artistic, Cultural and Educational excellence, by providing an annual programme of activities culminating into a weekend of Carnival celebrations on the first Saturday of July in Bristol that is embedded into the cultural and artistic calendar.
