Arnolfini Gallery

Places to Visit

Arnolfini is a centre for contemporary arts based on Bristol’s harbourside in the heart of the city. Founded in 1961, the organisation is dedicated to producing and presenting visual arts, performance, dance, film, music and events, underpinned by a commitment to a dynamic civic role in the city.

We have recently opened the Front Room, a new public space that houses our collection of art books and magazines. Visitors are invited to make use of the space in a number of ways and can also use it to enjoy drinks from Arnolfini Cafe Bar. Over the coming months the Front Room will host talks and special events, including Arnolfini Book Club, launched in March. Arnolfini Bookshop is also open with an expanded shop to include more titles than ever.

Arnolfini's ground-floor is open seven days a week offering access to our Front Room, a public space open to all lined with books from Arnolfini's library of art and design books, our bookshop and cafe/bar.
